Stateside Capital, LLC is a Georgia company organized to serve investors and real estate developers participating in the market for state housing tax credits. In many states, the bifurcation of state and federal tax credits has created an inefficient market that challenges the ability of developers to monetize their credits. To date, federal tax credit syndicators have not been able to distribute state tax credits effectively. Further, potential investors in state tax credits have had limited resources for information about state tax credits. Stateside Capital's mission is to fill these voids. Stateside has access to recognized experts in acquisition and administration of quality housing tax credits. The principals of Stateside Capital offer more than 100 years of collective experience in investments and tax credit development. From due diligence to credit delivery, the company provides Georgia tax credit funds which meet the needs of investors and developers.
Richard L. BeachamPresident
Bringing over 30 years of Financial Services Industry experience to his current threefold role, Richard L. Beacham serves as President of Stateside Securities as well as President of affiliates Stateside Holdings and Stateside Capital. Prior to joining Stateside Capital, Mr. Beacham served as Vice President-Investments at Legg Mason in Atlanta where he largely focused on wealth management and financial planning in the Private Client Group. Through his work with a large real estate developer, Mr. Beacham discovered the investment opportunities presented by tax credits. Subsequently, Mr. Beacham left Legg Mason to participate in the development of Stateside Capital. Earlier in his career, Mr. Beacham served as an international banking officer at the First National Bank of Atlanta where he worked with the Latin American portfolio. He has led capital formation teams and been an angel investor in various industries. He has also served as officer, director, and founder of numerous telecommunications, healthcare, and technology companies. Mr. Beacham's prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President at Oppenheimer & Co., Senior Vice President at the Robinson-Humphrey Company, and First Vice President at Morgan Keegan & Company. Mr. Beacham earned bachelors and masters degrees from The University of Georgia. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Netherlands Institute of International Business (Nijenrode) in Holland. Mr. Beacham's leadership has been acknowledged through his participation in many professional, civic and charitable organizations. He served as a member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, University of Georgia Alumni Society, Association of MBA Executives and the Westminster School's Annual Fund. In addition, he has coached for the Northside Youth Organization and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church where he also leads a team in the Great Day of Service program and is an usher. He has been a volunteer with the American Red Cross as well as Hands on Atlanta. Mr. Beacham has served on several committees at the Atlanta Country Club and is a member of the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition. |

M. Brent WattsAssociate
M. Brent Watts is an Associate at Stateside Capital. Brent’s main responsibilities include performance analysis of Stateside Fund’s portfolio and inventory properties, pre-acquisition due diligence, and statistical analysis of fund and acquisition pricing. Mr. Watts holds a BBA in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from the University of Alabama. Brent was the Vice-President/Pledge Trainer of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and was a representative on the Inter-Fraternity Council. He has attended numerous affordable housing tax credit conferences including IPED’s Housing Tax Credits “101”. Brent plays tennis in the ALTA, Visionary, and K-Swiss tennis leagues and most recently won 1st place in the men’s 4.5 division Visionary Tournament of Champions. Brent is a member of the Association of Young Real Estate Professionals, the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition, and the Georgia Conservancy. |

Marcella LewisOffice Manager
Marcella Lewis is the Office Manager at Stateside Capital, LLC, a Georgia state tax credit firm located in Atlanta, GA, where she oversees the firm's office functions and supervises the company's administrative staff. Marcella brings a great deal of experience in the financial services industry, having worked for such prominent firms as Prudential Securities, Ivy Asset Management Corp., and Reznick Group P.C. She specializes in streamlining the information flow and operational functions of dynamic, fast-paced organizations. Before her financial industry experience, she served as a network administrator after completing coursework at Briarcliff College in Bethpage, NY. Marcella brings an extensive background in computer technology in her current position. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and has completed coursework towards her Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. In addition, she participates in a variety of community service projects such as volunteering for Hands on Atlanta and OurStage Youth Theatre Incorporated teaching young participants commitment, accountability, and self-esteem through the discipline of theatre. |
