Thomas Vandegrift

Mr. Vandegrift is Stateside Capital’s Director of Asset Management. He is responsible for monitoring all the operational and compliance aspects of Stateside’s LIHTC portfolio.

Mr. Vandegrift has over 20 years of commercial real estate asset management experience where his primary focus has been on implementing and directing the asset management functions for tax credit syndicators. Employers have included the Midland Companies/MMA Financial, Guilford Capital and Column Capital. While at Midland/MMA, Mr. Vandegrift also implemented and directed the company’s commercial loan servicing operations for a period of 10 years. Total debt and equity investments under Mr. Vandegrift’s management while at Midland/MMA exceeded $3.5 billion. Early in his career Mr. Vandegrift was employed by NationsBank for six years where his work included portfolio management, special assets and asset disposition.

Mr. Vandegrift holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from West Virginia University (Cum Laude), and an MBA with a dual emphasis in Finance and Real Estate from The Pennsylvania State University. While achieving his MBA, Mr. Vandegrift taught undergraduate real estate classes, and was a scholarship recipient from the American Society of Real Estate Counselors.
